Career Soft Skills Development

Multiple studies have found that many young adults preparing to enter the workforce significantly lack soft skills. A 2021 research study conducted on Delaware supervisors revealed that soft skills are essential in the retail and food service industries. Survey results indicated that teamwork, positive attitude, verbal communication, time management, and self-motivation were the top five soft skills required for entry-level employment in the retail and food service industries. It is our mission to assist those looking to transition into the workforce with training not only to help them acquire employment but also to retain and excel in their careers.

Evidence-Based Life Skills

Arise Evidence-based Life Skills Classes: Grade  6-8 & 9-12 (typical class is 45 to 60 minutes). These classes can be facilitated in your location or ours, call for more information.

The life skills curriculum covers a variety of subjects including substance abuse, anger, self-confidence, anxiety, recycling, nutrition,  bullying, gangs, and more. The learning of life skills has been placed on parents, educators, and employers with no one taking the lead and teaching these key skills in a systematic way. This often leaves young adults learning independently and often inaccurately. This program would benefit teens at all levels of prevention. The lessons are all facilitated in groups with stand-alone lessons that can be designed to meet the specific needs of your group.
